Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo
They say: "Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo has a light floral fragrance with notes of red hibiscus, orange, freesia, green leaf, tuberose, peony, lily, spice musk and vetiver. When sprayed directly onto the hair, the water-less formulation penetrates and absorbs dirt and any other cosmetic product. A gentle rub of the scalp and brushing of the hair removes impurities to leave hair soft, clean, fresh and completely revitalised."
Review
Was always curious about this product but not enough to warrant a purchase. Picked it up 'free' with my Easter Show haul, in the form of a Marie Claire showbag.
On first try, feels a bit like I'm spraying deodorant into my hair. The first thing that hit me was the scent. At first it was mildly pleasant in tiny doses, but with the amount you need to use to get the product working, there's only one way to describe it...
TOXIC FLOWER BOMB.
I couldn't bring myself to spray that much just to save myself from the artificial punch of floral, but from the small amount that I used, I think the product works? Though for a cheaper, effective and less nose offending product I'd go for a fine talcum powder as a great substitute for dry shampoo.
The good
(+) makes hair appear less oily
The bad
(-) toxic floral smell
(-) not that cheap in stores
The verdict
Don't do it. Or at least test the scent before you purchase.
Score: 2/5
Would not purchase.
